Sean Tedjarati, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., is a physician executive, gynecologic oncologist, surgeon, educator, and academic healthcare leader committed to advancing clinical excellence, compassion, access, equity, innovation, and patient-centered care.

He serves as executive vice president and chief physician ambulatory officer and chief medical officer for WMCHealth Medical Groups, leading the integration and advancement of WMCHealth's physician and ambulatory enterprise.

His leadership is focused on bringing together the best of academic medicine and community-based care—uniting physicians, practices, and programs around a shared standard of excellence and expanding access to exceptional care throughout the region.

As academic chair of obstetrics and gynecology at NYMC, Dr. Tedjarati has led significant clinical, academic, research, and educational growth. He is the founder of the Center for Women’s Health Equity at WMCHealth, established to address disparities in women’s health and advance equitable access to care.

Board-certified in gynecologic oncology and OB/GYN, Dr. Tedjarati is a Certified Physician Executive. He also serves as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been awarded numerous academic and teaching accolades and has been named a Top Doctor.

Research

Dr. Tedjarati has contributed to the field of academic gynecologic oncology and has co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in textbooks in gynecologic oncology. His clinical and research interests include robotic and radical/advanced surgical technologies, clinical trials with chemotherapy and targeted therapies for gynecologic malignancies, as well as health care disparities and population health.
