Sub-committees

Each sub-committee are comprised of members that represent the overall NYMC community including all schools and audiences. Students have been identified for sub-committees based on governance roles and with the expectation that they will liaise with other students as appropriate. Sub-committees are empowered to consult broadly beyond their membership and work with other sub-committees as needed.

Sub-committees are actively engaged over the course of the 2019-20 academic year. Each of the sub-committees will engage in a process of research, reflection and analysis related to its assigned strategic initiative. Analyses should include an evaluation of the College’s strengths and challenges and ensure the SOM, GSBMS and SHSP are represented in their analysis.

Community input is an essential component to the strategic planning process. Community-wide surveys will be distributed seeking feedback on areas of strength and recommendations for improvement. Strategic planning sessions will also be held for students, faculty and staff to gather feedback and recommendations on the planning process. The Executive Committees will provide each sub-committee with the community feedback for their designated Strategic Initiative. Each sub-committee will prepare a report that will be presented to the Executive Committees detailing their recommended goals, sub-goals, tactics, timeline, budget projections, assessment methods and assign a point person for each goal.

Chairs and co-chairs have been assigned to each sub-committees, and each sub-committee will include a core group of members best positioned to address each the following Strategic Initiatives:
