Office of Public Safety Stresses Campus Parking Regulations
Enhancing Campus Parking Compliance and Safety at NYMC

Parking on the New York Medical College campus can be a challenge. With limited spaces available and a growing number of vehicles, it is important for everyone to follow the rules. "Parking on campus is reserved for those who live, work, or study here," said Robert Lancia, M.A., director of the Office of Public Safety.
In an effort to improve parking and ensure there is space on campus for everyone, the College recently contracted with Alex's Towing to monitor unauthorized vehicles that may be booted or towed. In the next few months, the Office of Public Safety will be issuing new oval-shaped parking stickers to all campus employees. These must be displayed on the right side of the rear window.
As a reminder, the Medical Education Center Roadway is designated as visitor parking only. Visitors must obtain a parking tag at Public Safety which must be displayed in the vehicle’s windshield.
Lancia also urged everyone to take precautions with their vehicles. "Always lock your car doors and never leave electronics, purses or other valuables in plain sight," he advised.
For added safety, public safety officers are available around the clock to provide safety escorts around campus or to assist with lockouts, low tire pressure or jump starts.
