The ceremony celebrated faculty authors in a variety of categories considering engagement, distribution and the influence of their publications. A short reception preceded the award presentations, which provided an opportunity for all the awardees to discuss their research via pre-recorded messages, along with congratulatory remarks from College leadership, deans and chairs.

“This was in the midst of the pandemic when no one knew what the future would hold,” said Salomon Amar, D.D.S., Ph.D., vice president for research and professor of pharmacology and of pathology, microbiology and immunology at NYMC, senior vice president for research affairs at Touro University. “Resilience and critical thinking are factors for the development and successful investigations that carry these accomplishments.
