On-Call Coverage – The on-call resident covers the Metropolitan CIR Unit on weekdays from 5 pm to 9 pm and on weekends from 8 am to 9 pm. Overnight coverage is signed out to the in-house medicine resident. On call frequency is based on PGY level. While rotating on the TBI service at Bellevue Hospital, PGY-3 residents take in-house call 3 times per month including one weekend day. Residents on rotation at the Hudson Valley VA at Castle Point and Blythedale Children’s Hospital do not take call.
