The Doctor of Public Health (Dr.P.H.) in Health Policy and Management will arm you with the knowledge and skills you need to assume leadership positions in public health practice at the local, state or national level in both the public and private sectors.

  • The program focuses on understanding the socioeconomic determinants of health, including the allocation and distribution of public and private investments in human capital, physical and social infrastructures and health care.
  • You will become an expert in the dynamic changes currently underway in the financing, organization and access to health care services, their relationship to health and economic policies and their potential impact on improving population health.
  • Our graduates use the analytical skills developed in the program to manage and evaluate public health programs – and also to influence and formulate health care policy.

The Dr.P.H. program is designed for the mid-career professional and practitioner of public health in traditional health departments, managed care organizations, community-based organizations, hospitals, consulting firms, international agencies, state and federal agencies.
