SHSP Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Planning at New York Medical College can assist you with your financial planning, budgeting, and decision-making before, during and even after you have graduated from New York Medical College. Please review the policies, responsibilities, and helpful links on the central NYMC Financial Aid page before applying and reach out with any questions. We are always happy to help!

Financial aid packages vary between programs that are charged per credit (M.P.H. and Dr.P.H.) and those that are cohort/block programs and are charged a set tuition for the year (D.P.T. and SLP).

Eligibility

To qualify for Financial Aid you must be matriculated, maintain satisfactory academic progress in a degree-granting program, be either a US citizen or eligible noncitizen and:

M.P.H., Dr.P.H. (per credit) students must be registered for at least half-time status (at least 2 credits in the summer semester and at least 4 credits in the fall semester and 4 credits in the spring semester). D.P.T. and SLP programs are full-time, so students are registered with a full-time student status.

Application Priority Deadlines

Completing the following steps by the priority deadline ensures you have enough time to receive your aid offer before the scheduled disbursement date.

Completing these steps after the priority deadline may result in a delay in your scheduled disbursement.

If you are accepted after the priority deadline, we recommend applying for financial aid within 3 weeks after your acceptance into your program.
