Course Description:

The first part of the course examines principles of regulatory mechanisms of various enzymes in metabolic pathways and in the nervous system. Selected examples of short- and long-term regulation will be presented. This is followed by the selected topic of peptides in the nervous system to demonstrate examples of transcriptional, translational and post-translational regulatory pathways. Students will read and discuss recent papers on these topics.
