Course Description:

Proficiency in basic translational research techniques has become increasingly necessary skill for students who are engaged in scientific and health professions. The present course affords students enrolled in the 2-year Master’s programs the opportunity to gain essential basic lab research skills and better prepare them for their entering into medical education. This course is part of the Selected Topics course offerings (7100-series) but differs from the other 7100-courses by incorporating practical laboratory activities under the supervision of the course director. Enrollment is limited and required for students enrolled in the AMSNY-SOM Linkage Program. Other students may enroll in the course if spots are available.
