Course Description:

This course covers the structure and function of cytokines such as the interleukins, interferons, and cellular growth factors. Emphasis will be on a consideration of cytokines involved in the host reaction to infection and injury, in B and T cell proliferation and in hematopoictic cell differentiation.

Prerequisites: CBAM 1360 and BCHM 1250

Lectures: 2 hrs/wk. Letter-graded.
