PHRM 3010 Career Pathways in Pharmacology ()

Course Description:

The objectives of this course are to highlight the various career pathways involved in bringing a drug to market. The course will feature invited speakers from industry biotech, mid and big Pharma, legal and finance companies who will discuss their roles in pharmaceutical development. The topics include drug discovery, pre-clinical and clinical research, regulatory affairs, epidemiology, medical communications, intellectual property and patent law, submissions for FDA approval or government funding, finances and liaisons and acquisitions. The course will provide students with an understanding of all phases of drug development from bench research and beyond, as well as provide networking opportunities with industry experts.
