Course Description:

Discussion of cellular functions including regulatory mechanisms involving receptors and second messengers, coordination of cellular metabolism to meet physiological challenges, functional properties of membranes and the structure-function relationship of such specialized cells as muscle, vascular and phagocytic cells.

Prerequisites: PHYM–1010, 1020

Lectures: 2 hrs/wk. Letter-graded.
