SHSP At a Glance

SHSP At A Glance: SHSP offers graduate degrees and certificates in four primary health science and practice fields, including bioethics, physical therapy, public health and speech-language pathology, which prepare students for careers or current professionals to advance their careers in the chosen field. Doctoral degrees and master’s degrees—on-campus and/or online—as well as several advanced certificates in highly practical health fields, are offered from SHSP’s accredited programs.

Experienced faculty and state-of-the-art curricula provide exceptional career training in these high-demand professions. Faculty who are active in research and clinical practice in all areas of medicine and health care engage our students in the challenge of analyzing interventions and improving outcomes across the spectrum of quality health care.

SHSP graduates are equipped to focus on the health care needs of individuals, communities or populations and prepared to hit the ground running in high-impact careers. All academic programs maintain a low student-to-faculty ratio, ensuring students get a personalized learning experience. The public health programs offer robust courses, both fully online or on campus, allowing students to choose the medium that best serves their needs.

The bioethics program provides critically important and relevant knowledge to individuals who desire to work in and/or advise organizations or individuals on ethical questions arising in biological sciences, biotechnology, health care, medicine and other areas. This is a rapidly emerging area of societal concern given the ever accelerating scientific advances impacting the lives of people across the globe—vaccines, cloning, genetics and euthanasia.
