Master of Public Health (M.P.H.)

The Master of Public Health Programs of the School of Health Sciences and Practice are:

  • M.P.H. in Behavioral Sciences and Health Promotion (on-campus and online)
  • M.P.H. in Epidemiology (on-campus ONLY)
  • M.P.H. in Environmental Health Science (on-campus and online)
  • M.P.H. in Health Policy and Management (on-campus and online)

Program Timing
You may enroll for the MPH and Certificate programs for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.Our Accelerated Program begins in the Summer only.

The Fall term begins in late August/early September; the Spring term begins in mid-January; and the Summer term begins in early June.

Application Deadlines
The preferred application deadline for each term is as follows, however, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and after the deadline.

  • Fall Term: August 1
  • Spring Term:  December 1
  • Summer Term: April 15

Application Process

Summer 2020 applicants, please use the Application for Admission - MPH/Certificate.

Fall 2020 Apply through the centralized application service for Schools of Public Health, SOPHAS. Begin the online application process.

Application Requirements
The following materials are required to complete your application, and must be submitted through SOPHAS:

  • Application: Submit your application and application fee by the appropriate deadline. The centralized application service, SOPHAS, will instruct you on submitting recommendations and other required documents.
  • Transcript(s) of undergraduate (post-secondary) course work: All applicants for the M.P.H. degree must hold a baccalaureate degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university. Prerequisite course requirements and work requirements vary by academic program.
  • Two (2) Recommendations (faculty, supervisors, or employers)
  • Personal Statement
  • Resume

The GRE is NOT required.

An interview may be required if the department or faculty have additional questions or concerns.
