Changing Behavior to Create Better Health
The most serious health problems in the U.S. today – heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke, and obesity – have substantial behavioral and social components. This program will give you a clear understanding of the role of behavior and social influences in illness and health, and the skills necessary to develop effective public health intervention strategies to reduce risk and promote health. You will learn how to help individuals and communities change behavior and improve their environment for a healthier lifestyle.
Delivery Options:
This program may be completed in a traditional classroom format with late afternoon and evening classes or completely online or as a hybrid of both. You may also choose to combine this program with the Certificate in Health Education.
