Students accepted into the School of Medicine at New York Medical College may apply for admission to the M.P.H. program, thereby providing an opportunity to pursue both degree programs simultaneously. M.D./M.P.H. students earn 46 credits (15 courses plus a practicum in public health). There are several pathways through which to pursue the 5-year M.D./M.P.H. degree including accelerated program options. Newly accepted medical students interested in the M.D./M.P.H. must contact the Associate Dean for Students Affairs of the School of Medicine to start the process and get approval.
