Notes: 

On the eve of Primary Jewish Holy Days falling between October 1 and March 31, departments following the College Valhalla Campus Holiday Schedule will close early at 3 PM and time should be recorded as “Excused with Pay” for hours not worked. Additional early closings include:

  • Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the College will close at 3:00 pm
  • Friday, December 22, 2023, the College will close at 12:00 noon
  • Friday, December 29, 2023, the College will close at 3:00

To be eligible for excused leave with pay, employee must be working on the above Holy Day eves or early close dates. On the eve of all other Primary Jewish Holy Days, falling between April 1 and September 30, departments following the College Valhalla Campus Holiday Schedule will close at their normal scheduled time and there will be no early closing.  

* Holiday only when the Primary Jewish Holy Day falls on an employee's regularly scheduled working day.

++ Friday, April 7, 2023 will be considered a single campus-wide Holiday in observance of both Good Friday and Passover.
