
Carl I. Thompson, Ph.D.

In 1985, Carl I Thompson, Ph.D., joined the Department of Physiology at New York Medical College and continued to research his interest in the regulation of blood flow by adenosine. He became an active member of the Faculty Governance at NYMC and in 2013 was elected president of the Faculty Senate after serving for several years as secretary of the Faculty Senate. He has been the executive secretary of the Graduate Faculty Council since 1997. He continues to work with various faculty in diverse areas of biomedical science as an advisor on research design and data analysis.
He is an active participant on many committees and task forces in both the School of Medicine (SOM) and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBMS) supporting faculty governance and student training.
