Aviva Berkowitz, M.D., was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Berkowitz attended the S. Daniel Abrams Honors Program at Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University where she earned her degree in Biology. She then received her MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and served as Chief Resident in her final year. While at Montefiore, Dr. Berkowitz served as the Resident Committee Chair of the Radiosurgery Society, developing teaching and mentoring initiatives for trainees interested in stereotactic radiotherapy. Her clinical interests include lung, gastrointestinal, and breast malignancies.

Launching a webinar series on topics of mentorship and career pathways in radiosurgery as well as a resident-faculty mentorship program.
